Double Minted Coin Collection

Item # 45650

Traditionally in American coinage, the introduction of a new coin design follows the last year of mintage of the old. On rare occasions, a new design appears mid-year, resulting in the minting of 2 designs in a single year.

Such is the case with the 3 pairs of double-dated coins in this fascinating collection that includes 1 Silver Barber dime & 1 Silver Mercury dime minted in 1916; 1 Indian Head cent & 1 Lincoln Wheat Ear cent minted in 1909; and 1 Buffalo nickel & 1 Jefferson nickel minted in 1938.

Displayed in a protective portfolio. Mint marks will vary. Includes one Certificate of Authenticity.
